Warriors star Steph Curry widely is regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history.<\/p>\n
Especially among the younger generation of players who grew up watching Curry\u2019s rise during the 2010s, the two-time NBA MVP has gained the respect of many, if not all, of his peers.<\/p>\n
In a YouTube video he posted<\/a> about his 2026 NBA All-Star weekend experience, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards expressed how he did not care about Curry being named a Western Conference starter over him.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s definitely a blessing to be an All-Star, however it [goes],\u201d Edwards responded to a question about how it feels to not be an All-Star starter.<\/p>\n \u201cBut people be damn trying to make me feel some type of way because they feel some type of way. I actually hate the fact that folks be talking about it like, \u2018Ah he should\u2019ve been [the All-Star starter].\u2019 It [doesn\u2019t] really matter bro. It\u2019s Steph Curry bro. The greatest point guard of all time. I ain\u2019t tripping.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Along with Curry, Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Don\u010di\u0107, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Joki\u0107, and San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama were named as the other Western Conference All-Star starters.<\/p>\n Curry and Edwards both had comparable numbers before the All-Star break, with Golden State\u2019s guard averaging 24.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game while Minnesota\u2019s young star averaging 24.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest.<\/p>\n The Warriors\u2019 four-time champion edged Edwards out for an All-Star starting nod, but Curry ended up not participating in the event due to a patellofemoral pain syndrome<\/a> he is still currently recovering from.<\/p>\n Edwards previously was teammates with Curry on Team USA\u2019s men\u2019s national basketball team, adding to the respect both players have for each other.<\/p>\n Despite not being named an All-Star starter, Edwards remains one of the best players in the NBA today. At only 24 years old, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft will only develop his game even further and eventually earn an All-Star starter nod in the near future.<\/p>\n
