BOSTON — It’s been 298 days since Jayson Tatum last played for the Celtics. That streak ends Friday night at TD Garden.<\/p>\n
The Celtics star is officially available to play vs. the Dallas Mavericks and will make his 2025-26 season debut. Tatum has been sidelined since May 12, when he ruptured his Achilles tendon in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks.<\/p>\n
Tatum will return to a Celtics team that has vastly overachieved in his absence, entering Friday’s game with a 41-21 record and the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference despite parting with several key members of their 2024 championship squad.<\/p>\n
