The Portland Trail Blazers<\/a> have gotten the better of the Houston Rockets<\/a> this season. Portland has won two of the three meetings between the teams thus far, but Houston has a prime opportunity to knot up the season series on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Fans should expect a decisive win from the Rockets for two reasons. First off, they’ve been a tough out at the Toyota Center all season. Moreover, quite a few of the Trail Blazers’ better players are down for the count with injuries.<\/p>\n

At present, the Rockets have a 38-23 record, which puts them in the Western Conference standings’ fourth-place slot.<\/p>\n

The Trail Blazers are the owners of a 30-33 record, good enough for 10th in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

For Portland, Deni Avdija (lower back injury management) is doubtful, Damian Lillard (left Achilles tendon injury management) is out, Kris Murray (illness) is out and Shaedon Sharpe (fibula stress reaction) is out.<\/p>\n

For Houston, the team has yet to release its injury report, though Fred VanVleet (ACL repair) and Steven Adams (left ankle surgery) can be ruled out with season-ending injuries.<\/p>\n
