“It’s a whole different team, coaching staff,\u201d Suns forward Royce O\u2019Neale said after Sunday\u2019s morning shootaround. \u201cA different style of play that we’re playing offensively and defensively. New group of guys coming together.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Suns traded Durant, bought out Beal, and built a team around Booker with an identity of playing hard, physical, aggressive and defending at a high level.<\/p>\n

Phoenix is 10th in the NBA in defensive rating.<\/p>\n

\u201cTry not to compare last year to this year,\u201d O\u2019Neale said. \u201cIt’s a credit to the way we are playing. Playing hard each and every night, trying to get wins. Defensively, taking pride. Offensively, moving the ball. Just playing as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Suns are down Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture), Grayson Allen (right knee injury management), Jordan Goodwin (left calf strain) and Mark Williams (left foot third metatarsal stress reaction).<\/p>\n

Allen was previously listed as probable after the morning shootaround on March 8.<\/p>\n

The Hornets (32-32) are beginning a four-game road trip against the Suns. They are coming off a 128-120 loss to Miami to snap a six-game winning streak.<\/p>\n

Charlotte has won 16 of its last 20 games after a 16-28 start to the season. The Hornets are without Tidjane Sala\u00fcn (left calf strain).<\/p>\n

This will be the first of two matchups between the Suns and Hornets. They’ll meet again on April 2 in Charlotte.<\/p>\n
