<\/p>\nThe Boston Celtics will face the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, March 10. They’re coming into the game following two impressive wins over the Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers. Of course, Jayson Tatum’s return to the court and his impressive displays in those two games have been the primary talking point.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, it was the Celtics’ bench unit that ultimately secured a win over the Cavaliers. Unfortunately for Boston, they may be without Payton Pritchard, who played a key role on Sunday, for their upcoming game against the Spurs. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year has been listed as ‘questionable’ due to a neck spasm.<\/p>\n

Nikola Vucevic has been ruled out due to a right finger fracture. As such, Luka Garza will likely continue to get playing time off the bench. Garza has been a reliable rebounder, floor spacer and high-level screener in his minutes this season, and he’s proving capable of stepping into larger roles when necessary.<\/p>\n

Boston’s upcoming game will carry slightly more importance after the Detroit Pistons lost to the Miami Heat on March 8. Joe Mazzulla’s team is now only 2.5 games behind Detroit, which currently occupies the first seed. For now, though, the Celtics will undoubtedly focus on taking things one game at a time. Of course, that would be easier if they could get to full strength.<\/p>\n
The Celtics medical staff will likely make a final decision on Pritchard closer to the game.<\/p>\n
