Take Advantage of BetMGM NBA Bonus Code Tonight

The NBA schedule for Monday, March 9, features a tight slate of high-caliber basketball, including a massive test for the Nuggets and a coast-to-coast battle in Los Angeles. Below are the current consensus odds from BetMGM for tonight’s games:

Denver Nuggets at Oklahoma City Thunder (7:30 PM ET)

Spread: Thunder -6.5 | Nuggets +6.5

Moneyline: Thunder -286 | Nuggets +230

Total: 232.5

New York Knicks at LA Clippers (10:00 PM ET)

Spread: Knicks -2.5 | Clippers +2.5

Moneyline: Knicks -139 | Clippers +115

Total: 220.5

The marquee matchup tonight is undoubtedly the Denver Nuggets taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder. If you’ve been following the line movement, you know the Thunder are entering this contest in dominant form, boasting a perfect 5-0 record in their last five games. However, the real story here is the physicality. There is genuine bad blood brewing between these two squads—specifically involving Nikola Jokić and Luguentz Dort—stemming from recent on-court scuffles. When you combine that rivalry tension with the return of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is averaging 31.6 points per game, the Thunder -6.5 spread starts to make sense. Denver will need a historic effort from Jokić (28.8 PPG, 12.5 RPG) to keep this close, especially with questions surrounding their rotation health.

Later in the evening, we have the LA Clippers hosting the New York Knicks as home dogs. This is an interesting spot for the Clippers, who have quietly won four of their last five games and have looked good while doing so. The narrative around the Knicks has focused heavily on Jalen Brunson’s volume shooting, who has been quiet recently but is always due for a blow up game.
