It\u2019s been nearly 20 years since Kobe Bryant hit an iconic buzzer beater over Dwayne Wade to help the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Miami Heat in December 2009.<\/p>\n
Bryant\u2019s shot was one of the most impressive in NBA history and remains an unforgettable moment in the five-time NBA champion\u2019s career.<\/p>\n

Ten years later, Wade hit a nearly identical one-legged, game-winning, 3-point shot against the Golden State Warriors in February 2019. After the game, Wade referenced Bryant\u2019s shot against him in 2009 and thanked the Hall of Famer for his guidance.<\/p>\n

Wade was wearing a Bryant jersey while the other player defending him wore Wade\u2019s Heat jersey.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Bryant and Wade quickly built a rivalry when Wade joined the NBA in 2003. Wade was a rising star for the Heat in the Eastern Conference, while Bryant was a superstar for the Lakers in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n Eventually, the pair built a strong friendship off the court. Bryant and Wade both helped Team USA win a gold medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.<\/p>\n \u201cEarly on, we didn\u2019t have a relationship because of the whole Kobe-Shaq drama,\u201d\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0Wade via ESPN.\u00a0\u201cOver time, we built the relationship; of course, the Olympics, you get to respect somebody and know their family.
