Every time Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo knocked down a free throw, shouting was heard as the players gave their reactions to history being made in Miami.

Adebayo broke the late great Kobe Bryant’s record for the second-most points ever scored in a game as he had 83 points in a win over the Washington Wizards. He shot 20-for-43 from the floor, 7-for-22 from deep, and a ridiculous 36-for-43 from the foul line and there was some shameless activity going on to create extra possessions for him to break Bryant’s record, but 83 points is still 83 points and it’s a night nobody will forget.

“Shoutout Bam!” laughed VJ Edgecombe. “Shoutout Bam. Congrats to him. That’s all I got. Congrats! I mean, he had 80 What? 83? Second all-time. Nah, that’s amazing, man. Shoutout Bam.”

Cam Payne had his own historic night for the Sixers as he shot a ridiculous 8-for-8 from deep off the bench in the win over the Grizzlies. The eight 3s are the most in Sixers franchise history without a miss from beyond the arc. When asked about Adebayo’s night, Payne admittedly is focused on himself.

“I was worried about Cam Payne, honestly!” Payne laughed. “Bam can’t take my night! Shoutout to Bam, though. I’m a big-time Kobe fan, so, that’s like, huge for someone that scored that many points in a game, but man, I’m taking it, man. This my night. March 10. That’s all me.”

Need a news break? Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!

Kelly Oubre Jr. was on the floor the night Joel Embiid scored a franchise-record 70 points back in January of 2024. He gave his love to Adebayo for scoring 83, but he wanted to make things clear when comparing the two performances.

“One thing I’m gonna say is it’s definitely legendary, the box score, right?” Oubre said. “The number and shoutout to Bam, right? He’s just implementing himself in history, and I’m kind of salty that he bested Kobe. He’s one of my favorite players, for sure, but I’m gonna just say this man, Joel did it efficiently, and he did it in three quarters.”

When Embiid scored 70, he shot 24-for-41 from the floor and 21-for-23 from the foul line as well as 1-for-2 from deep. Either way, both are phenomenal performances and Adebayo’s night will be remembered in NBA history forever.

March 10, 2026, 11:03 p.m. ET PHILADELPHIA — The sounds from outside a victorious locker room for the…

[3769
679,72400,7,6,678,207,3817,72473,72474,72404,80983,72405,72406,72479,72403
0":"post-652088","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-philadelphia-76ers","8":"tag-76ers","9":"tag-accessfree","10":"tag-basketball","11":"tag-nba","12":"tag-philadelphia","13":"tag-philadelphia-76ers","14":"tag-philadelphia76ers","15":"tag-sstssportsnbasixers","16":"tag-sstsnsixers","17":"tag-tagbasketball","18":"tag-tagcameron-payne","19":"tag-tagoverall-positive","20":"tag-tagsports-news","21":"tag-tagvj-edgecombe","22":"tag-typestory
["GET
