Since the Dallas Mavericks<\/a> acquired him on NBA Draft night in 2018, Luka Don\u010di\u0107<\/a> has become one of the biggest stars in the league. Before that, the Slovenia native got his pro career started with Real Madrid in 2015.<\/p>\n

For almost that entire time, Don\u010di\u0107 has had Anamaria Goltes by his side. Don\u010di\u0107 and Goltes have known each other since they were kids and began dating in 2016. She has since joined him in the United States, where the two built a life together in Dallas that now includes a daughter, born in December 2023, and three dogs.<\/p>\n

Goltes revealed in 2020 that she and Don\u010di\u0107 met when they were 12 years old, which would be around 2010.<\/p>\n

Despite Don\u010di\u0107 playing in Spain and Goltes studying at University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, the two began dating in 2016. Pictures of Don\u010di\u0107 and Goltes began popping up on Don\u010di\u0107\u2019s Instagram that summer, with the two spending time together in Europe<\/a> and the United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After the two took a brief break from their relationship, they reunited around NBA Draft time in 2018. With Goltes working as a model under the IMG umbrella, she was already in the United States when Don\u010di\u0107 went No. 3 overall to the Atlanta Hawks and was later traded to the Mavericks.<\/p>\n

Don\u010di\u0107 proposed on July 7 (i.e. 7\/7), causing fans to speculate whether he chose that date to intentionally match his jersey number. The two announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post<\/a> showing Don\u010di\u0107 on one knee, placing a ring on Goltes\u2019 finger.<\/p>\n

Don\u010di\u0107 and Goltes announced the arrival<\/a> of their first child, Gabriela, in an Instagram post on December 1. NBA legends like LeBron James, Steve Nash and Pau Gasol congratulated them in the comments.<\/p>\n

Don\u010di\u0107 and Goltes welcomed their second daughter, Olivia. The Lakers star shared a photo of her via Instagram with a heart emoji hiding her face. The caption read simply, \u201cOlivia\ud83d\udc95!\u201d<\/p>\n

March 2026<\/p>\n

Don\u010di\u0107 confirmed in a statement to ESPN that he and Goltes had called off their engagement<\/a> amid a dispute over their daughters.<\/p>\n

At the time of their split, Don\u010di\u0107 said he had not seen his daughters since being present in Slovenia for Olivia\u2019s birth the previous December.<\/p>\n
