Both starter Donovan Clingan and reserve Robert Williams III have played well. Though their shifts have been fairly predictable for the first three quarters of the game, given matchup and their usual allotment of minutes, crunch time has brought up an interesting set of circumstances lately. Williams has begun to play more closing-game possessions with Clingan on the bench.

That brings up an interesting discussion question for the day. When it comes to closing the game, do you think Clingan should be the default candidate or Williams, or should it depend entirely on the opponent and style of play?

Furthermore, is there a world in which your answer to the question is, “Neither”? If so, why, and what would that look like?

Share your thoughts and explanations in the comments section below!

In March the Portland Trail Blazers have finally gotten to enjoy one of the benefits of their roster:…

[3784
7,601,37790,6,687,471,63976,3967,1617
0":"post-655601","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-portland-trail-blazers","8":"tag-basketball","9":"tag-blazers","10":"tag-blazers-gameday-coverage","11":"tag-nba","12":"tag-portland","13":"tag-portland-trail-blazers","14":"tag-portland-trail-blazers-discussion","15":"tag-portlandtrailblazers","16":"tag-trail-blazers
["GET
