With just days left until Selection Sunday<\/a> and March Madness<\/a>, it\u2019s crunch time in conference tournaments around the country.<\/p>\n

Arizona stands above the rest of the Big 12 after winning the regular season title and appears to be a lock for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.<\/a> The Wildcats went 29-2 this season and the two games they dropped came in early February against Kansas and Texas Tech \u2014 two very good teams that could make March Madness runs of their own.<\/p>\n

Perennial contender Houston has another stacked team. The Cougars went 26-5 and have repeatedly looked capable of making another Final Four run under Kelvin Sampson.<\/p>\n

The Wildcats were able to get some separation with a 11-3 run just before the end of the half and will head into the break with an eight-point lead.<\/p>\n

Arizona has one of the highest-scoring offenses in the country (86.4) and Houston has one of the most efficient defenses (62.4 ppg allowed).<\/p>\n

The Wildcats have had the edge so far thanks to the aggressive play of Jaden Bradley, Koa Peat and Brayden Burries, who have combined for 36 of Arizona\u2019s 44 points.<\/p>\n
