For the second game in a row, the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> are including Anthony Edwards on the team\u2019s injury report.<\/p>\n

Going into a matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a>, Edwards is questionable due to right knee soreness. While his status was in question for Minnesota\u2019s latest outing against the Golden State Warriors, he was cleared to take the floor for the Timberwolves\u2019 third-straight road matchup.<\/p>\n

It was safe to say that Edwards\u2019 knee didn\u2019t bother him too much, based on what he put on display.<\/p>\n

Anthony Edwards Dominated In The Golden State\"\"<\/p>\n

Checking in for 37 minutes, Edwards went 13-22 from the field, making 4-9 shots from beyond the arc. He scored 42 points.<\/p>\n

Beyond his scoring, the star guard nearly produced a double-double, as he came down with eight rebounds. Edwards also produced five assists on the offensive end, while accounting for one steal and one block on the defensive end.<\/p>\n

The Timberwolves defeated the Warriors 127-117, climbing out of a three-game losing streak. After the game, Edwards addressed the state of his recent setback.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was some doubt, for sure,\u201d Edwards told reporters, regarding his pregame status against the Warriors. \u201cBut, I\u2019m good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Status Is Unclear For OKC\"\"<\/p>\n

Sunday afternoon marks the fourth and final meeting between the Thunder and the Timberwolves during the regular season.<\/p>\n

In their last battle (January 29), Anthony Edwards checked in for 34 minutes. The star guard shot 9-17 from the field to produce 26 points. He also had five rebounds and five assists. The Timberwolves defeated the Thunder 123-111.<\/p>\n

This year, the Timberwolves are 2-1 over the top-seeded Thunder. Edwards managed to play in all three matchups. Edwards is certainly the most valuable to the Timberwolves. The young All-Star has established himself as one of the faces of the new generation. Without him, the Timberwolves would be in a difficult spot against a Thunder team that\u2019s looking to repeat as champions.<\/p>\n

Sunday\u2019s result won\u2019t make or break the Timberwolves, but they need a victory much more than the 52-15 Thunder. Heading into the game, the Timberwolves are 41-26. They place fifth with a 0.5 lead over the Denver Nuggets, while trailing the Houston Rockets by 0.5 games.<\/p>\n

The game is slated for a 1 PM ET tip.<\/p>\n
