MANILA, Philippines \u2014 Ahead of her Miami Open return, tennis rising star Alex Eala reunited with another Filipino sports icon, Fil-American Erik Spoelstra, the head coach of the Miami Heat.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the Miami Heat posted a feature video on their social media pages showing Eala first meeting Spoelstra in 2023 at 17 years old, along with a montage of photos of the WTA No. 29 and the 3-time NBA champ.<\/p>\n
Now 20, Eala reunited with Spoelstra ahead of her Miami Open return, posing together for pictures again.<\/p>\n
Eala is expected to play her first match (round of 64) at the Miami Open on Saturday.<\/p>\n
