Mandatory Credit: Wendell Cruz-Imagn Images

Josh Hart usually finds a way to contribute to the New York Knicks offense through rebounding and playmaking. He’s never their primary scorer in a starting lineup that includes All-Stars Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.

But in Tuesday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden, Hart made his way to the basket often. In fact, he tallied a season-high 33 in a 136-110 blowout victory for New York, who were without Brunson due to a neck injury.

His well-rounded play elevated New York to its fourth consecutive victory and second win over the Pacers in four days. This could have been the Knicks’ way of getting retribution after Indiana eliminated them from last year’s Eastern Conference finals in six games.

Hart found success from beyond the arc, making all five of his attempts against the Pacers’ defense. He missed only one shot, shooting 92% from the field to become the third player in team history to score more than 30 on 90% or better shooting. He joins franchise legends Willis Reed, Bernard King, and Walt Bellamy on this exclusive short list.

To round out his performance, Hart dished out five assists and snagged seven rebounds in addition to recording two steals.

Forward OG Anunoby contributed 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists, as Towns scored 22 with 11 rebounds. Jose Alvarado made an impact in place of Brunson, tallying 16 points, 10 assists, and a pair of steals.

Alvarado helped New York force 17 turnovers and 13 total steals.

Offensively, they shot 54% from the field and 44% from three.

The Knicks should be back up to full strength if Brunson is ready for Friday’s game against the Nets. But if the All-Star guard still needs to sit out another game, Hart could always step up, especially against another weaker opponent.

For more on Josh Hart and the Knicks, visit AMNY.com

Mar 17, 2026; New York, New York, USA; New York Knicks guard Josh Hart (3) celebrates center Mitchell…

[3774
7,113,126,3866,327,304,6,114,66
0":"post-664683","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-indiana-pacers","8":"tag-basketball","9":"tag-indiana","10":"tag-indiana-pacers","11":"tag-indianapacers","12":"tag-josh-hart","13":"tag-knicks","14":"tag-nba","15":"tag-pacers","16":"tag-sports
["GET
