After exiting Friday\u2019s 115-101 loss<\/a> to the Detroit Pistons early, Kristaps Porzi\u0146\u0123is<\/a>\u2019 back spasms continue to persist<\/a>, forcing Golden State\u2019s big man to miss Saturday\u2019s matchup with his previous team at 5 p.m. at State Farm Arena.<\/p>\n Porzi\u0146\u0123is will remain sidelined alongside Steph Curry<\/a> (knee), Jimmy Butler<\/a> (ACL), Al Horford<\/a> (soleus), Moses Moody<\/a> (wrist) and Seth Curry<\/a> (adductor).\u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Draymond Green<\/a> (back, De’Anthony Melton<\/a> (knee), Gary Payton II<\/a> (knee) and Malevy Leons<\/a> (wrist) are all questionable to play.<\/p>\n While the Warriors would love to have all of their players available, the team\u2019s current status is no surprise — especially the state of Porzi\u0146\u0123is, who presumed he\u2019d miss facing the Hawks.<\/p>\n \u201cFeeling alright, a little tight now. Once I cooled down, it tightened up even more, but I\u2019ll get it going soon,\u201d Porzi\u0146\u0123is said after Friday\u2019s loss, before answering a question about whether he feels like he will sit Saturday. \u201cProbably. Yeah, we\u2019ll see. Maybe it loosens up tomorrow, who knows?\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cRight now, it\u2019s pretty stiff.\u201d<\/p>\n Porzi\u0146\u0123is has played in just 24 games during the 2025-26 NBA season.\u00a0<\/p>\n Over his mere seven games with Golden State<\/a>, the 30-year-old has been valuable, averaging 14.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists.<\/p>\n Porzi\u0146\u0123is, though, has missed the majority of his games as of late due to an illness or ankle injury. The back issue is something he actually hasn\u2019t dealt with much over his 10-year NBA career.<\/p>\n \u201cEarlier in my career, a little bit,” Porzi\u0146\u0123is replied. “Honestly, I’m pretty good at managing and keeping the back strong. I\u2019m sure it\u2019ll go away pretty quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n Golden State needs all of its players, especially its prized NBA trade deadline acquisition<\/a>, back in action as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
