As the Golden State Warriors<\/a> prepare for their matchup against the Dallas Mavericks<\/a>, they are the No. 10 seed in a tightly contested Western Conference and are on a three-game losing streak, with the Portland Trail Blazers<\/a> ahead at No. 9.<\/p>\n

Much of the Warrior’s struggles have stemmed from injuries. Stephen Curry<\/a> has been out for over a month with a knee injury, while Jimmy Butler<\/a> suffered a season-ending ACL tear, leaving the roster shorthanded.<\/p>\n

As a result, the Warriors have leaned heavily on role players, including several G League contributors, to fill key minutes.<\/p>\n

There is some positive news, however. Moses Moody is listed as questionable<\/a> with a right wrist sprain after missing 10 games. According to Anthony Slater of ESPN, Kristaps Porzingis<\/a> is expected to miss only one game after dealing with left low back tightness, while Moody\u2019s potential return would provide much-needed depth for a depleted rotation.<\/p>\n

This is a positive development for the Warriors, as injuries have held them back throughout the season. With several key contributors returning, Golden State has a chance to regain its rhythm and potentially climb the Western Conference standings.<\/p>\n

Porzingis has appeared in 24 games this season, including seven with the Warriors, averaging 16.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 44.6% from the field and 33.9% from three-point range. His ability to stretch the floor adds a different dimension to the frontcourt when available.<\/p>\n

Moody has been effective when healthy, appearing in 59 games and averaging 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while shooting 44.1% from the field and 40.2% from three.<\/p>\n

Getting these players back strengthens the Warriors\u2019 depth and spacing, giving them a more balanced rotation as they look to stay competitive in the playoff race.<\/p>\n

Former Sevilla product and the No. 4 overall pick in the 2015 NBA<\/a> Draft, Porzingis has developed into a high-level center when healthy. He won an NBA championship in 2024, earned an All-Star selection, and was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2015\u201316. His size, scoring ability, and three-point shooting make him a unique presence on the floor.<\/p>\n

Porzingis is currently on a two-year, $60 million extension signed in 2023 with the Boston Celtics<\/a>, carrying a 2025\u201326 salary of approximately $30.7 million.<\/p>\n

Moody, the No. 14 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, won a championship in 2022 and has grown into a reliable guard. He signed a three-year, $39 million extension in 2024, keeping him under contract through the 2027\u201328 season.<\/p>\n

Getting both players back would strengthen Golden State\u2019s depth, improve spacing and scoring, and provide much-needed stability as the team looks to climb the standings.<\/p>\n
