The injury bug has not been kind to the Warriors this season, yet they still find themselves in line to make the NBA play-in tournament.<\/p>\n
Although there have been a slew of injuries throughout the campaign, none have impacted the team more than Steph Curry’s<\/a>. The 12-time NBA All-Star last played on Jan. 30 in the team’s 131-124 loss to the Detroit Pistons but since has been sidelined with a knee issue.<\/p>\n Despite there being questions from those around the sport regarding whether or not it’d be wise for him to return, Warriors coach Steve Kerr assured the media earlier in the week that Curry would return for the play-in if he is ready. With that being said, Kerr told 97.5 The Game’s “Willard & Dibs” on Tuesday that the team will not be rushing the sharpshooter back by any means.<\/p>\n “If we don’t feel good about it, then he’s not going to play,” Kerr said. “We’re not pushing him into anything if things aren’t really clear. Many also have questioned if it is even worth bringing him back considering how banged up the team is.<\/p>\n In 39 games played this season, Curry averaged 27.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists.
