The Cleveland Cavaliers have been cruising down the stretch<\/a> of the regular season, but they’ve also been facing teams that are fighting for their playoff lives at this point. The Miami Heat<\/a> is one of those teams, as they recently beat the Cavs a few nights ago, and they have a rematch set for later today.<\/p>\n

For the Cavs, they’re hoping that they can get healthy, as Jarrett Allen<\/a> has been sidelined with right knee tendonitis. He’s still listed on the injury report ahead of their game against the Heat, and there could be a chance he returns soon.<\/p>\n

Allen is listed as questionable<\/a> against the Heat, which definitely means he could make his return sooner rather than later. Head coach Kenny Atkinson offered a positive update on Allen<\/a> a few days ago on his progression from injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe’s ramped it up in the last few days, so trending positive,\u201d Atkinson said via Spencer Davies of Clutch Points. \u201cI watched him yesterday on the court, contact. I think we’re in that last stage of getting him ready, so I can anticipate [he’ll return within] the next couple of games, that window.\u201d<\/p>\n

That’s good news for the Cavs as they add a vital piece back to their frontcourt alongside Evan Mobley. Both have made it difficult for teams when it comes to making plays in the interior on either side of the ball, and it’s a reason why they’ve been so successful over the years.<\/p>\n

Getting Allen back will also give James Harden another lob threat to pass to in certain situations, which will only elevate the offense.<\/p>\n

It looks like the Cavs are getting healthy at the right time, and they should be able to close out the regular season strong.<\/p>\n
