NBA mock drafts have consistently had Boozer projected as a top-five pick. <\/p>\n<p>It appears Boozer\u2019s March Madness run has some analysts pondering whether the Duke big man can unseat BYU\u2019s AJ Dybantsa and Kansas\u2019 Darryn Peterson as the potential No. 1 pick. USA Today\u2019s Bryan Kalbrosky\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nba\/draft\/2026\/03\/26\/nba-mock-draft-2026-first-round-predictions-sweet-16\/89329716007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">latest mock draft<\/a> predicts the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nba\/indiana-pacers\/\" title=\"Indiana Pacers\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"206725\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Indiana Pacers<\/a> will select Boozer with the No. 1 pick. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuke freshman Cameron Boozer was one of the best players in college basketball during his first NCAA season and now makes his USA TODAY mock draft pole position debut,\u201d Kalbrosky wrote in a March 26, 2026, mock draft. \u201cAccording to NBA insider Jake Fischer, rival teams believe Boozer would be the \u2018preferred selection\u2019 for the Pacers at No. 1 overall because of his \u2018potential fit\u2019 alongside <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nba\/player\/pascal-siakam\/\" title=\"Pascal Siakam\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"206830\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pascal Siakam<\/a> and <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nba\/player\/ivica-zubac\/\" title=\"Ivica Zubac\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"206827\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ivica Zubac<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ACC Player of the Year isn\u2019t a human highlight reel but he offers consistency and a diverse, impactful skill set. More importantly, he can bring a culture of winning after multiple championships in high school and an elite Duke team that has made it to the Sweet 16.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what you need to know about the latest NBA draft rumors around Boozer. <\/p>\n<p>NBA Draft Rumors: Pacers Could Pair Duke Star Cameron Boozer With Tyrese Haliburton<\/p>\n<p>The move would pair Boozer with Pacers superstar <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nba\/player\/tyrese-haliburton\/\" title=\"Tyrese Haliburton\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"206829\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyrese Haliburton<\/a>. The Indiana guard has been sidelined with an Achilles injury which has made the current Pacers season a challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Haliburton remains the face of the Pacers franchise and future of the team. The Duke big man is the son of NBA legend <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nba\/player\/carlos-boozer\/\" title=\"Carlos Boozer\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"206828\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carlos Boozer<\/a> and grew up around pro basketball players, an obvious plus for his NBA draft evaluation. <\/p>\n<p>Boozer is averaging <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mens-college-basketball\/player\/stats\/_\/id\/5041935\/cameron-boozer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">22.4 points<\/a>, 10.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game in 36 starts during the 2025-26 season.
