{"id":683215,"date":"2026-03-28T00:57:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-28T00:57:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/683215\/"},"modified":"2026-03-28T00:57:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-28T00:57:10","slug":"caleb-wilson-declares-for-nba-draft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/683215\/","title":{"rendered":"Caleb Wilson declares for NBA Draft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>March 27, 2026, 8:42 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">North Carolina freshman forward Caleb Wilson, a <a href=\"http:\/\/tarheelswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/college\/tarheels\/mens-basketball\/2026\/03\/09\/unc-basketball-three-tar-heels-earn-all-acc-honors\/89074244007\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first-team All-ACC selection<\/a> and a <a href=\"http:\/\/tarheelswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/college\/tarheels\/mens-basketball\/2026\/03\/17\/unc-basketball-caleb-wilson-named-second-team-all-american-honors\/89195520007\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">consensus second-team All-American<\/a>, announced on Instagram that he will enter the 2026 NBA Draft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">In a <a href=\"http:\/\/tarheelswire.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nba\/draft\/2026\/03\/26\/nba-mock-draft-2026-first-round-predictions-sweet-16\/89329716007\/\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recent mock draft by USA TODAY Sports<\/a>, Wilson is projected as a top-five pick, going No. 4 overall to the Sacramento Kings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Before his season-ending injury, Wilson was one of the best players in college basketball. He led UNC in scoring at 19.8 points per game and rebounding at 9.4 per game. He also averaged 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks, both still team highs.
