Kristaps Porzingis scored 28 points, including five three-pointers, to lead the Warriors past the Wizards, but he admitted his jumper still isn’t right. Despite the big performance, Porzingis hinted he hasn’t reached his full level yet, signaling even more danger for opponents as Golden State pushes toward the play-in tournament.<\/p>\n

Kristaps Porzingis<\/a> came up big for the Golden State Warriors<\/a> on Friday night, scoring 28 points, including five key three-pointers, in a 131-126<\/a> win over the Washington Wizards<\/a> at Chase Center. But after the game, he made a surprising admission.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, it\u2019s not feeling good,\u201d Porzingis said in a post-game press conference<\/a>. \u201cYou\u2019re gonna see once I get it right, right. There\u2019s gonna be a difference for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Porzingis joined Golden State in February after a trade from the Atlanta Hawks<\/a> and has stepped into a roster decimated by injuries.<\/p>\n

Stephen Curry<\/a> has been out since January 30, Jimmy Butler<\/a> is done for the year, and Moses Moody<\/a> suffered a torn patellar tendon.<\/p>\n

Despite the challenges, Porzingis played a key role in the comeback. With the Warriors trailing by five in the fourth, he helped lead the charge alongside Gui Santos, who scored 13 points in the frame, while Brandin Podziemski nearly recorded his first career triple-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Warriors sit 10th in the Western Conference standings with a 36-38 record, comfortably in the play-in, as the Pelicans trail them by 11 wins.<\/p>\n
