Luka Doncic<\/a> went off yet again for the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> on Friday night. The six-time All-Star dropped 41 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, a block and five three-pointers in L.A.\u2019s 116-99 win over the Brooklyn Nets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is the 12th consecutive game that Doncic has scored at least 30 points. He joined Kobe Bryant<\/a>, Elgin Baylor and Jerry West as the only four players in Lakers franchise history to achieve this feat.<\/p>\n

More importantly the Lakers have gone 11-1 during that stretch. They improved to 48-26 after Friday\u2019s win and remain third in the Western Conference. L.A. is currently ahead of the fourth-seeded Denver Nuggets<\/a> by 1.5 games.<\/p>\n

The bad news for the Lakers is that Doncic will not be available for their next game. This is after the 27-year-old was assessed with his 16th technical foul of the season in Friday\u2019s contest.<\/p>\n

Doncic got into it with Nets forward Ziaire Williams in the third quarter. The Lakers superstar was whistled for a technical foul after pushing Williams from behind.<\/p>\n

Per NBA<\/a> rules, Doncic will be suspended for one game after accumulating his 16th tech of the season. This means that he will now miss Monday\u2019s matchup against the Washington Wizards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lakers head coach JJ Redick addressed the incident after the game. Redick said that he did not see what happened but confirmed that the Lakers will appeal the technical foul<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Lakers also contested Doncic\u2019s tech against the Orlando Magic<\/a> on March 21. The NBA rescinded the foul<\/a>, thereby allowing Doncic to suit up against the Detroit Pistons<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n

The Lakers are now bracing for the NBA\u2019s decision on whether they will rescind Friday\u2019s technical foul against the Nets. Doncic will once again avoid suspension if the league rules in his favor. Otherwise, he will be forced to sit out their next game.<\/p>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, Doncic said after the game<\/a> that \u201cI didn\u2019t even say anything.\u201d The Lakers guard revealed that the game officials told him that \u201cmy push was exaggerated.\u201d<\/p>\n
