<\/p>\nA loss is never fun for any ball club in the NBA, but when you lose after having had a double-digit lead, the defeat stings even more. This is likely the situation that Atlanta Hawks head coach Quin Snyder was dealing with when asked about what went wrong for his Hawks in their 109-102 loss to the Boston Celtics at TD Garden this past Friday (March 27) night.<\/p>\n
After building a 16-point lead in the game’s first quarter, Atlanta saw a Jaylen Brown-less Boston punch back, chipping away at the deficit until they regained the lead for good in the contest’s penultimate frame. “They had the one stretch where they hit some 3s and just rattled it,” ” said Snyder after the loss.<\/p>\n

“And I thought we were better offensively than what the score indicated,” he added. “There were a couple of stretches … you\u2019re not going to hold the lead like we had the whole game. But, I thought the in third, we responded, we competed; we’ve just got to play better.”<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re rebounding, shooting 3s, and we had layups that went in and out,” he said. “So, to me, there were a few stretches where they got some offensive rebound putbacks, and they hit some shots. It\u2019s going to be hard to win the game when you shoot 39 percent from the field is what it really comes down to.”<\/p>\n
“I thought we got some good looks, and frankly, to hold them to 35 3s and to defend the way we did. We’ve just got to be a little better through a lot of things. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s one thing that\u2019s going to really stand out that cost us the game.”<\/p>\n
