It didn\u2019t take long for Kristaps Porzi\u0146\u0123is<\/a> to feel at home with the Warriors.<\/p>\n

After Golden State\u2019s 131-126 win over the Washington Wizards<\/a> on Friday night at Chase Center, Porzi\u0146\u0123is\u00a0described his transition as “seamless,” pointing to the team\u2019s chemistry and balance of veterans and young players.<\/p>\n

“I just came in, and we have a bunch of older guys, we also have some young guys that I was able to connect right away with,” Porzi\u0146\u0123is\u00a0said postgame. “It\u2019s a fun team. Yeah, it\u2019s been seamless, honestly. So I\u2019m happy I\u2019m here.”<\/p>\n

The performance backed it up.<\/p>\n

Porzi\u0146\u0123is\u00a0led the Warriors with 28 points in 29 minutes, adding eight rebounds and three assists as Golden State secured its third consecutive win.<\/p>\n

The Warriors acquired Porzi\u0146\u0123is<\/a> in a trade that sent Jonathan Kuminga<\/a> and Buddy Hield<\/a> to the Atlanta Hawks, Porzi\u0146\u0123is\u2019 start in Golden State hasn\u2019t been entirely smooth. He missed significant time due to illness and has continued to deal with lingering physical setbacks, delaying his ability to fully integrate into the lineup.<\/p>\n

But when available, his impact has been immediate.<\/p>\n

He jump-started the Warriors\u2019 offense early Friday, scoring the team\u2019s first 11 points and later delivering in the fourth quarter to help close out the win.<\/p>\n

Golden State\u2019s three-game win streak<\/a> — its first in more than two months — has coincided with Porzi\u0146\u0123is\u00a0finding his rhythm, even as the team continues to battle inconsistency.<\/p>\n

Still, the level of competition is about to rise.<\/p>\n

After beating three teams outside the playoff picture, the Warriors now face a tougher stretch against postseason contenders — a test that could reveal whether their recent momentum is sustainable.<\/p>\n

For now, though, Porzi\u0146\u0123is\u2019 presence is giving the Warriors exactly what they needed: scoring, size and a player who fits in quickly.<\/p>\n

And by his own account, that adjustment already feels complete.<\/p>\n
