The third-year center finished with a season-high 41 points and 16 rebounds, adding four assists and three blocks in the process.

Wembanyama needed just eight minutes and 31 seconds to record his 10th point and 10th rebound, snaring the milestone board 1:55 into the second quarter. It marked the third-quickest such feat in the play-by-play era, trailing only Boban Marjanovic (8:13 in 2017) and Jonas Valanciunas (8:08 in 2025), according to the Elias Sports Bureau. He shot 17-for-27 from the field, including 3-for-6 from three, and punctuated his night with a driving one-handed dunk.

The Spurs rolled to their ninth straight win, with six players finishing in double figures. Stephon Castle contributed 21 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, and Wembanyama praised their on-court connection. “We’ve had the chance to spend lots of minutes on the court together, and he understands me very well,” Wembanyama said of Castle, per ESPN. “That’s not just randomly, we’re just in sync.”

On the offensive end, Wembanyama acknowledged a deliberate increase in shot attempts. “Just figuring out some stuff,” he said, per ESPN. “Felt like I needed my offense to get back to a certain level, but that shouldn’t be at the cost of a defense either.”

San Antonio led by as many as 29 points in the third quarter and never looked back. The Bulls, who lost their fourth straight, were led by Tre Jones with 23 points in his return to San Antonio following a trade.

Wemby’s presence has fueled San Antonio’s recent nine-game winning streak and cemented his status as a franchise cornerstone entering the final stretch of the regular season.

More NBA: Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Makes Stance Clear On NBA’s 65-Game Awards Rule

Victor Wembanyama turned in a historic performance Monday night, posting the third-fastest double-double since the 1997-98 season while…

[3797
7,6,969,474,4075,4074,534
0":"post-690126","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-antonio-spurs","8":"tag-basketball","9":"tag-nba","10":"tag-san-antonio","11":"tag-san-antonio-spurs","12":"tag-sanantonio","13":"tag-sanantoniospurs","14":"tag-spurs
["GET
