The Denver Nuggets<\/a> and Utah Jazz<\/a> will go head-to-head on Tuesday night. The Nuggets are 48-28 and looking to move up in the Western Conference standings. Denver is currently in fourth place in the West. Meanwhile, Utah is 21-55 and in 14th place in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

While the Nuggets are in a quality position to earn an important win over the lackluster Jazz, the team is dealing with some injury concerns. According to the NBA<\/a> injury report, Aaron Gordon is listed as probable to play<\/a> due to left calf tightness. Spencer Jones (right hamstring strain) and Zeke Nnaji (left hip sprain) are listed as out for the game.<\/p>\n

Of course, the Jazz have injury concerns of their own. Lauri Markkanen, Jaren Jackson Jr<\/a>. and Walker Kessler are among the Jazz players out for the contest. Still, anything can happen in the NBA. Upsets can certainly occur on any night.<\/p>\n

Gordon, 30, has been an impactful player while on the floor. He has only appeared in 32 games this season, however.<\/p>\n

Overall, Gordon is averaging 16.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per outing. He is also shooting 50.1 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n

Gordon has quietly emerged as one of the more impactful players in the NBA over the years. Nikola Jokic<\/a> and Jamal Murray<\/a> understandably receive most of the attention on the Nuggets, but Gordon has helped matters to say the least.<\/p>\n

He makes an impact on both sides of the ball as well. The six-foot-eight forward offers versatility and can defend multiple positions. Gordon’s versatility extends to the offensive side of the floor, as he can finish at the basket at a high level but can also shoot the three-ball well.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets would not have found the success they have in recent years without Gordon. If they are going to make a deep playoff run this year, Denver will need him on the floor. He is the X-factor on the roster.<\/p>\n
