Jenkins has been outstanding over the last seven games, averaging 20 points, 7.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds\u00a0and nearly\u00a0a steal\u00a0per game in that span.\u00a0He\u2019s\u00a0shooting 49.5 percent from the field, 44 percent from 3-point range and 93.3 percent from the line, where he has been\u00a0clutch\u00a0late in games.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jenkins is looking more comfortable running the offense, but has shown\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0a weapon off the ball, one that will be important even when Cade Cunningham returns.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jenkins is getting his swagger back just in time for the playoffs and is going to be an underrated weapon for the Pistons who will\u00a0almost certainly\u00a0be involved in some big moments.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Can Jenkins keep this up\u00a0off\u00a0the bench?\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jenkins has been\u00a0very good\u00a0as a starter this season, averaging 16.6\u00a0points, 6.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game, so\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0clear\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0comfortable rolling with the starting unit.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Some players prefer to start, but\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0something Jenkins\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0get too used to, as\u00a0he\u2019ll\u00a0be back to the bench as soon as Cade Cunningham returns.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jenkins\u00a0has to\u00a0carry over this confidence and aggressiveness back to the bench, as he could be key for the Pistons, who will look for him to pick up some of the shooting slack.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He and Kevin Huerter have been playing well off each\u00a0other of\u00a0late, and though neither of them is a true point guard, they can do enough with the ball to make plays for each other and the rest of their teammates.\u00a0<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve\u00a0seen Huerter looking for Jenkins roaming the 3-point\u00a0line,\u00a0and many of his assists have been to the\u00a0feisty\u00a0point guard.\u00a0<\/p>\n
