The Sacramento Kings are gearing up to end a five-game road trip against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, and after losing each of the first four games of the East Coast trek, they have their backs against the wall up North.<\/p>\n

For this Kings team, looking to get back in the win column, the Raptors are dealing with a few key injuries that could benefit them. Of course, Sacramento is one of the most banged-up teams in the NBA, but things are a bit more even for Wednesday’s game, with three Raptors starters potentially sidelined.<\/p>\n

The Kings have ruled out six players ahead of Wednesday’s matchup in Toronto, headlined by Russell Westbrook and Keegan Murray. Fortunately, the Kings veteran forward and Raptors all-time leading scorer DeMar DeRozan has been left off the injury report<\/a> for the matchup against his former team. Of course, the Kings are severely shorthanded against the Raptors, but there have been a few instances where they have proved they can win while leaning on DeRozan and the young guys. To pull out a win, they will certainly need a big game from the former Raptors star, along with guys like Maxime Raynaud, Nique Clifford, and Precious Achiuwa, but it is possible. <\/p>\n

The Raptors have ruled out Brandon Ingram and Immanuel Quickley ahead of Wednesday’s matchup, while listing Scottie Barnes as questionable. With the Raptors potentially missing their entire star trio, they could be in trouble against a struggling Kings team. Toronto’s full injury report:<\/p>\n

The Raptors are coming off a loss to the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, and heading into the second night of a back-to-back, are certainly letting their stars take it easy. With just a handful of games left in the regular season, they do not want to risk further injury, so sitting Ingram and Barnes would not be out of the ordinary.<\/p>\n

However, the Raptors are just one game ahead of the seventh-place Philadelphia 76ers, barely holding onto a secure playoff spot. With a chance of falling into the play-in tournament, the Raptors should still be desperate for a win over the Kings on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

Things will certainly not be easy for either side, but with the Raptors doing all they can to win and the Kings likely content with losing for lottery positioning<\/a>, they seemingly share a common interest for Wednesday’s matchup. <\/p>\n
