Before an NBA game tips off, there are rarely any distinguishing signs of a historic performance brewing. And such was the case when it came to a tilt between the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic<\/a> at TD Garden on that January night in 2022. But it was the first time that star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown would score a 50-burger with Boston, one of the highest point totals recorded by any Celtic ever.<\/p>\n

Boston needed Brown to go off for 50 to win 116-111 in overtime to fend off a late Orlando push. “We needed to win. No way we could have lost this game. It wouldn\u2019t have been good,” said <\/a>the Georgia native. “My teammates found me tonight and I knocked some shots down.”<\/p>\n
