Houston Rockets<\/a> star center Alperen Sengun delivered good news for the fan base Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Sengun logged 29 minutes against the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>, finishing with 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-2 from three. The Turkish star added nine rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. His all-around effort powered Houston to a 119-113 victory<\/a> and a fourth straight win.<\/p>\n

The first-time All-Star has been a steady force for coach Ime Udoka all season. He\u2019s averaging 20.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 67 games played.<\/p>\n

What makes those numbers more impressive is that Sengun has battled multiple injuries throughout the year. This included a recurring back issue that cost him multiple games in March.<\/p>\n

Sengun has been dealing with a bum ankle. The more pressing concern, though, has been a persistent back issue<\/a> that has hounded him for months. The 23-year-old missed two games in mid-March due to lower back pain.<\/p>\n

Against the physical Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, the bad back did not slow him down. Sengun dissected the Bucks defense from the post, setting up teammates and taking charge with his scoring.<\/p>\n

Sengun did leave the floor at one point, but he addressed the incident postgame and assured fans.<\/p>\n

“It’s good, not bad,” he said. “It’s just the back-to-back. Got hit a little bit. But I’ll be all right, probably, hopefully. I’m all right, actually.”<\/p>\n

With Sengun leading the charge, the Rockets sit squarely in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race at 47-29. They are fifth in the West with six games remaining in the regular season.<\/p>\n

Barring any unforeseen setbacks, Sengun is expected to be back on the court for the Rockets on Friday against the Utah Jazz<\/a>.<\/p>\n
