Speaking on the PinPoint podcast<\/a>, Ivey revealed that he still has a strong desire to continue playing basketball, regardless of where that opportunity comes.<\/p>\n

“Yeah, for sure,” Ivey said when asked if he still has desire to play basketball.<\/p>\n

“If that opportunity came, it doesn’t matter if it’s in the NBA, it doesn’t matter if it’s the CBA, if it’s overseas, it could be the African league, it doesn’t matter, as long as I’m doing the will of god, abiding in Jesus Christ, that’s what matters,” Ivey said.<\/p>\n

Ivey previously made headlines for his Instagram Live sessions, where he shared controversial religious views and criticized the NBA for celebrating Pride Month, among other topics.<\/p>\n

As a result, some fans raised concerns about his mental health, especially after Ivey openly admitted he has been dealing with depression.<\/p>\n

The fifth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Ivey spent the first five seasons of his career with the Detroit Pistons before being traded to Chicago at the deadline.<\/p>\n

He appeared in just four games for the Bulls, as the team shut him down for the remainder of the 2025\u201326 season due to lingering left knee pain.<\/p>\n

During his brief stint in Chicago, Ivey averaged 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game.<\/p>\n
