Before diving into this game, again, a little Grizzlies housekeeping: On Tuesday, March 31, the Grizzlies signed guard Lucas Williamson to a 10-day contract.<\/p>\n
Per Grizzlies PR: Williamson (6-4, 205) has appeared in 46 games (15 starts) for the Memphis Hustle and Windy City Bulls during the 2025-26 NBA G League Tip-Off Tournament and regular season, has averaged 7.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 23.7 minutes. The 27-year-old has competed in 139 NBA G League games (46 starts) over four seasons with the Ontario Clippers, Hustle, and Bulls.<\/p>\n
And another bit of housekeeping of a different nature: Grizzlies\u2019 big man Brandon Clarke was arrested in Cross County, Arkansas, Wednesday afternoon and charged with possession of a controlled substance, trafficking a controlled substance, improper passing, and fleeing vehicle or conveyance exceeding the speed limit. There are no additional details at this time.<\/p>\n

Back to the game, the Knicks blew the doors off in the first quarter, outscoring the Grizzlies 48-30, with the most points scored by any opponent in any quarter by a Grizzlies opponent this season.<\/p>\n
Memphis was unable to recover, and New York led this one wire-to-wire, the fifth such loss for the Grizzlies this season.<\/p>\n
The Knicks dominated in this matchup \u2014 outscoring the Grizzlies in the paint 66-44, 27-6 in fast break points, and outrebounding them 49-20. Those 20 rebounds are a season-low for Memphis.<\/p>\n
Memphis went on a 14-3 run to trim New York\u2019s lead to three late in the third quarter, but New York answered with seven straight points and maintained a double-digit advantage for the rest of the game.<\/p>\n
