(WMC) &#8211; University of Memphis head men\u2019s basketball coach Penny Hardaway continues to load up his staff in the wake of a disappointing 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hardaway announced the program\u2019s first-ever general manager on Thursday, with Gabriel Harris stepping into the role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Harris comes to Memphis after serving as general manager for the NBA G-League Stockton Kings, who he helped lead to a championship in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">As GM, Harris will be oversee roster management, recruiting operations, revenue share strategy and player personnel evaluation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Gabriel Harris to Memphis,\u201d said Hardaway. \u201cGabriel brings a modern approach and new perspective to roster management, along with valuable experience at the professional level.
