It will be just the fourth missed game of this calendar year for Wembanyama, who has been on an absolute tear as of late.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the season, Wembanyama has played in 61 games for San Antonio and posted averages of 24.7 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 blocks and 3.0 assists per performance.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s leading the league in blocks for a third straight season, and he&#8217;s the odds-on favorite to win the Defensive Player of the Year award, as long as he&#8217;s eligible. Wembanyama needs to play in four more games this season in order to hit the NBA&#8217;s 65-game threshold for award eligibility. The Spurs will still have five games remaining after the matchup with the Clippers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The matchup between San Antonio and L.A. will be the third and final of the season.
