It cost the Hawks their backup center Jock Landale for the rest of the game and Bitadze was ejected after a review.

Now the Hawks are on the road facing the tanking Brooklyn Nets and they have released their injury report for tomorrow’s game, including an update on Landale’s health.

“Center Jock Landale sustained a right ankle injury during the fourth quarter of last night’s game at Orlando. Following medical evaluation and imaging, Landale has been diagnosed with a right high ankle sprain. He will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks and an update will be provided at that time.”

If Landale is able to come back in two weeks, that would put him right up against the start of the NBA playoffs, which begin on April 18th. It looks like Landale is going to miss the rest of the regular season and the Hawks will have to rely on Mouhamed Gueye and Christian Koloko in the mean time.

That might not matter as much tomorrow when the Hawks face the Nets, but in the final week of the season, Atlanta has the Knicks, two games against the Cavaliers, and Miami. Gueye has experience and is a tremendous defender though and I think he will be up to the task.

Another win on the way?

Altanta comes into tomorrow’s game as winners of 17 of their last 19 games and against the Nets, they are going to be heavy favorites to make it 18 of 20.

Friday’s contest marks the fourth and final time Atlanta and Brooklyn will meet this season, with the Hawks owning a 3-0 record this season against the Nets and, dating back to the 2024-25 campaign, have won five of their last six meetings with Brooklyn. In his last six games against the Nets, Onyeka Okongwu is averaging 16.8 points on .632 FG%, 12.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2.0 blocks in 30.7 minutes. In Atlanta’s most recent victory over the Nets on 3/12, the USC product rejected a season-high tying four blocks.

With five games to go and a 1.5 game lead for the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, every game counts and the Hawks have to ensure that they take Brooklyn seriously and not have a letdown performance.

While the Atlanta Hawks got a win against the Orlando Magic last night (sweeping the season series 4-0),…

[3767
7,670,247,3803,6,671
0":"post-694768","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-brooklyn-nets","8":"tag-basketball","9":"tag-brooklyn","10":"tag-brooklyn-nets","11":"tag-brooklynnets","12":"tag-nba","13":"tag-nets
["GET
