The Boston Celtics\u2019 offense proved to be unstoppable for the Heat, as they lose by a near 20-point margin and suffer an 0-4 season series sweep.

After a nice bounce back win against the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the week, the Miami Heat failed to keep it going with the Boston Celtics in town on Wednesday. Boston stormed into Kaseya Center and picked apart the Heat defense on route to a 147-129 loss for Miami. <\/p>\n
The loss is the Heat\u2019s third in four games and eighth in their previous 10 games overall\u2014 dropping their record to 40-37 and back to sole possession of the Eastern Conference\u2019s 10th and final play-in seed. Boston improved to 51-25 overall and completed a perfect 4-0 season series sweep against Miami during this 2025-26 campaign.<\/p>\n
In all the Heat versus Celtics matchups this year, it hasn\u2019t mattered with Jayson Tatum\u2019s availability in recovering from his achilles injury. Boston\u2019s well coached and deep roster has given Miami issues for years since Jimmy Butler\u2019s departure no matter the circumstances. <\/p>\n
Despite Miami shooting an efficient 46% as a team in this matchup\u2014 with 51% on 24 makes from 3-point range\u2014 that still wasn\u2019t enough to even keep things close against Boston. And that notion just shows how far away the Heat are from being a true contending team.<\/p>\n

Jaylen Brown went off for a game-high 43 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds in what has been an MVP caliber season from Boston\u2019s All-Star guard. Tatum added a ridiculous 25\/18\/11 triple-double as that duo not only wrecked havoc for Miami, but showcased that they are arguably the greatest superstar duo in the entire association. <\/p>\n The Heat had six players score in double figures, led by Bam Adebayo\u2019s 29 points and 10 boards double-double. However, Tyler Herro was inefficient on both ends of the floor with his 5 of 15 shooting and getting hunted by Boston\u2019s stars on the defensive end. <\/p>\n Miami now has just five games remaining on their regular season schedule before the play-in tournament begins.
