Two nights later, he helped the Sixers pull out a win down the stretch against the surging Charlotte Hornets. On Monday, Embiid and the Sixers fell short in Miami against the Heat, and the former NBA MVP told reporters he had played through an illness, which the team never listed on its injury reports.<\/p>\n Despite not being listed on the team’s initial injury report for the game, Embiid was ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Washington Wizards in the morning due to his illness.
