There will be no quotes about Arizona\u2019s run to the Final Four from Bryce James \u2014 at least, not on Thursday.<\/p>\n

LeBron James\u2019 youngest son<\/a> was blocked from journalists by a bodyguard during the Wildcats\u2019 media availability following their arrival in Indianapolis, according to Yahoo Sports\u2019 Dan Wolken<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cArizona had an enforcer in the locker room today near Bryce James to tell reporters that he wasn\u2019t going to do interviews,\u201d Wolken wrote on X.<\/p>\n

While Bryce, a freshman, has not played this season as he redshirts<\/a>, the interest in him is nonetheless overwhelming.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s, of course, the son of the NBA\u2019s all-time leading scorer, but as an athlete who\u2019s watched Arizona play from one of the best seats in the building all season, he could also provide some valuable insight ahead of the team\u2019s massive Saturday showdown with Michigan.<\/p>\n

Wolken went on to report the shielding of the 18-year-old was due to a directive from the player\u2019s dad \u2014 not the university.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be clear,\u201d Wolken said, \u201cBryce\u2019s media availability is being dictated by LeBron\/Klutch, not Arizona.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryce committed to UofA in January 2025 and made the decision to sit out Year 1 in February 2026.<\/p>\n

Wildcats head coach Tommy Lloyd said at the time the move was made \u201cto give Bryce the most options in his career as his career unfolds.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have real strong belief that Bryce will be a contributor at Arizona in the near future,\u201d Lloyd said. \u201cHe\u2019s really shown a lot of progress, not only learning our system but just physically maturing.\u201d<\/p>\n
