WASHINGTON (7News) \u2014 The Washington<\/a> <\/a>Wizards apologized Thursday after a half-time skit, that was meant as an April Fools<\/a>‘ joke, didn’t go over well with fans.<\/p>\n

During the Wizards<\/a> half-time show on Wednesday, a blindfolded “fan” was brought onto the court and told if he could make the shot he would win <\/a>$10,000. The fan missed the shot but the narrator led him to believe he won the money. After removing his blindfold, the shot was replayed on a jumbotron showing the fan that he actually missed it. The narrator then revealed it was an April Fool’s joke.<\/p>\n

The joke didn’t go over so well with some fans who were left outraged over the incident. <\/p>\n

On Thursday, the Wizards issued a statement explaining the incident was scripted and the fan was aware of the joke<\/a>. <\/p>\n
