My NBA picks<\/a> like Bane stuff the stat sheet on Friday, April 3.<\/p>\n Magic vs Mavericks prediction Desmond Bane\u2019s<\/a> biggest strength is his versatility. The stocky 6-foot-6 shooting guard can be whatever the Orlando Magic<\/a> need him to be.<\/p>\n Sometimes that\u2019s a scorer. Other times, that\u2019s a playmaker. And some games, Orlando needs Bane to battle on the boards. The Magic need a little bit of everything against the Dallas Mavericks<\/a> tonight.<\/p>\n I\u2019m focusing on Bane\u2019s passing and rebounding with his combo prop set at 8.5.\u00a0<\/p>\n He\u2019s coming off a quiet game against a very good Atlanta defense in which he finished with just two rebounds and two assists. That 29-point blowout loss left him to log just 30 minutes, and Orlando\u2019s rotations were a work in progress with Franz Wagner<\/a> playing his first game since February 11.<\/p>\n Heading into that game, Bane had topped his combo prop in five of the previous seven. He\u2019ll face a softer challenge from the Mavericks, who are playing out the home stretch at the bottom of the Western Conference.<\/p>\n Dallas sits 24th in defensive rating since the All-Star break and was busted open like a pi\u00f1ata in March, giving up almost 123 points per game. The Mavericks watch opponents rack up the fourth-most assists (28.3) and wrangle the fifth-most rebounds (55) per game.<\/p>\n Bane and the Magic beat Dallas 115-114 at home on March 5, and he finished with eight rebounds and three assists (along with 14 points) in 38 minutes of action. Tonight\u2019s projections have his assists between 4.4 and 5.0, while his rebounding forecast bounces between 4.5 and 5.4.<\/p>\n Enjoying Covers content?
