Once someone has been in the NBA for a little while, they will have criss-crossed the nation and experienced a number of the country’s big cities and some not-so-big cities as well. In his record 23rd season, LeBron James has certainly been there and done that, and he surely has some strong opinions on each NBA market.<\/p>\n
He made an appearance on “Bob Does Sports” to play a little golf, a sport he has recently picked up, and talk some hoops. He then unloaded on<\/a> the city of Memphis, where the Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> call home, and he even urged the Grizzlies to move to the most populous city in Tennessee: Nashville.<\/p>\n “Yeah, a random (expletive) Tuesday in Milwaukee staying at the (expletive) Hyatt at 41 years old, you think I want to do that (expletive),” James said. “Being in Memphis on a (expletive) random (expletive) Thursday.<\/p>\n “”I’m not like the first guy to even talk about it in the NBA,” James continued. “Like, we’re all like ‘you guys have to move.’ Just go over to Nashville. You got Vanderbilt over there. You got the (expletive) NASCAR. You got a stadium. Don’t they have a hockey team, too? Like they got everything.”<\/p>\n The Grizzlies started play in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1995, but they moved to Memphis just six years later. Just a few years ago, they looked like budding contenders with a feisty cast that was centered around Ja Morant. But after James’ Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> defeated them in six games in the first round of the 2023 playoffs, they have only gotten worse.<\/p>\n The “Bob Does Sports” crew said that James won’t exactly be a candidate to join the Grizzlies once his contract expires at the end of this season. James then responded with this quip referencing two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning.<\/p>\n
