As the San Antonio Spurs concluded their time in California with a matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, they missed the presence of their star center, Victor Wembanyama.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the game, Wembanyama was ruled out for the night due to ankle soreness.<\/p>\n

The Spurs did well enough to keep their win streak alive. San Antonio defeated the LA Clippers<\/a> 118-99.<\/p>\n

Following the game, the Spurs\u2019 head coach Mitch Johnson spoke on Wembanyama\u2019s absence, suggesting it shouldn\u2019t be a long-term concern.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t have any more back-to-backs, so that helps him with more recovery time,\u201d Johnson told reporters on Thursday,\u00a0according to the San Antonio Express-News<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s something we\u2019ll definitely be mindful of so we can get everybody as healthy as they can be down the stretch.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Spurs are taking on the Denver Nuggets<\/a> on Saturday, April 4.<\/p>\n

Wembanyama has been left off the injury report this time around, which suggests he\u2019s good to go.<\/p>\n

Barring any unexpected changes, Wembanyama is expected to play against Denver.<\/p>\n

In his last outing against the Golden State Warriors<\/a>, Wembanyama checked in for nearly 29 minutes of action.<\/p>\n

During that time, the superstar big man accounted for 41 points while shooting 72.7% from the field. He also had 18 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.<\/p>\n

The Spurs dominated the Warriors 127-113.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Spurs are in the midst of an 11-game winning streak, which is the longest active streak in the league.<\/p>\n

The Spurs are 2.0 games behind the 61-16 Oklahoma City Thunder. Heading into the game, the Nuggets carry a 49-28 record.<\/p>\n

Spurs-Nuggets is slated for a 3 PM ET tip in Denver, Colorado.<\/p>\n
