Following a victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> on Friday, April 3, the Philadelphia 76ers will be back on the court on April 5.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, the Sixers will host the Detroit Pistons<\/a>. They are closing out a back-to-back set.<\/p>\n

With Joel Embiid returning to the lineup on Friday, after a confusing situation in Washington, DC, the expected questions came the big man\u2019s way after the win over Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Is playing against the Pistons on Saturday a possibility? Embiid took his usual stance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a chance,\u201d he told reporters. \u201cI don\u2019t know. I guess these guys decide to let me play or not. So, whatever they tell me, I guess I\u2019ve got to follow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The injury report hasn\u2019t been revealed yet, but a \u201cchance\u201d would suggest Embiid could at least be considered questionable.<\/p>\n

Joel Embiid Has Been Dealing With A Lot

The star center recently claimed that his knee is no longer an issue.<\/p>\n

After getting surgery twice over the past two seasons, Embiid hasn\u2019t missed time due to knee soreness since before the NBA<\/a> All-Star break.<\/p>\n

When Embiid missed time throughout March, his absence was the result of an oblique strain, which he suffered during a February 26 battle against the Miami Heat<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Embiid returned to the court on March 25 to face the Chicago Bulls. He played in three games in a row, exceeding 30 minutes in two out of three games (the 28-minute showing was a blowout victory).<\/p>\n

Embiid infamously missed Wednesday\u2019s action against the Washington Wizards<\/a>. As he dealt with an illness, Embiid was ruled out, which led to a lengthy explanation on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was pissed off,\u201d Embiid told reporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to play basketball, but I wasn\u2019t allowed to play basketball. So, I think this is more of a question for Daryl Morey and whoever makes the decisions. I think going into Miami, I was pretty sick, but I understood how important the game was, and I still wanted to give us a chance to go out and try to do something because of how important the game was.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sixers didn\u2019t need Embiid in Washington. They scooped up a dominant win over the Wizards before taking down the Timberwolves with him back in the lineup.<\/p>\n

Joel Embiid produced 19 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks in 34 minutes of action. The Sixers defeated the Timberwolves 115-103.<\/p>\n

The Pistons Are Next On The List

Every game matters for the 76ers.<\/p>\n

Being tied for the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers can\u2019t let up and allow the Toronto Raptors<\/a> to get an advantage. The next three games (Pistons, Spurs<\/a>, and Rockets) are all playoff contenders.<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s action is against the Eastern Conference\u2019s top team. It\u2019s a matchup that the Sixers could certainly use Embiid in. His status hasn\u2019t been confirmed yet.<\/p>\n
