Seth and Steph Curry are questionable, while Gui Santos is probable. The Curry bros, as well as Santos, are all likely to get upgraded to available before tip-off.

Warriors Sign Backup Center

After his second 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics expired, the Warriors are signing center Charles Bassey to a 10-day contract, as first reported by HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.

Bassey played for the San Antonio Spurs in the past three seasons before becoming a free agent last summer. He has split his time with the Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and Memphis Grizzlies this season.

The Golden State Warriors plan to sign Charles Bassey to a deal, league sources told @hoopshype. Bassey has averaged 4.2 points on 63% shooting from the field and 4.2 rebounds in 10.8 minutes during five NBA seasons combined with the 76ers, Spurs, Grizzlies, and Celtics.

With Post out until next week, Bassey provides Golden State with a reliable option at center. Malevy Leons is playing admirably, but he’s also dealing with a wrist injury in his shooting hand.

Curry Calls Injury New Normal

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Curry opened up about his injury and the rigorous rehab process he had to undergo. He called his injury a “new normal” for him because there was nothing wrong with the structure of his right knee.

“There’s nothing structurally wrong with my knee,” Curry said, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “So, it’s not like I’m compromised out there. It is a new normal, though, if that makes sense. It’s just a matter of understanding what I need to do off the court to make sure everything around my knee is strong and firing the right way.”

The two-time MVP added that he’s going to use the offseason to further strengthen his right knee. He called this summer a reset for his body after an injury-filled season.

Juan Paolo David Juan Paolo David is a sports journalist covering basketball for Heavy.
