On Sunday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> played the Dallas Mavericks<\/a> in Texas.<\/p>\n

Despite a good fight, the Lakers lost by a score of 134-128.<\/p>\n

LeBron James<\/a> went off for 30 points, nine rebounds, 15 assists and one steal while shooting 12\/22 from the field in 39 minutes of playing time.<\/p>\n

James also made NBA<\/a> history with his performance.<\/p>\n

Ryan Ward of Lakers OnSI wrote:<\/a> \u201cPer Lakers: LeBron James finished with 30 points, nine rebounds, 15 assists and one steal at Dallas.<\/p>\n

His 30-point, 15-assist performance marked the seventh of his career (tied for 11th all-time) and made him the oldest player in NBA history to reach those marks, passing his own record (Nov. 2019).\u201d<\/p>\n

At 41, James is having a remarkable season where he is still among the best players in the league.<\/p>\n

He came into the night with averages of 20.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 51.1% from the field and 31.3% from three-point range in 56 games.<\/p>\n

The four-time NBA Champion is in his eighth season playing for the Lakers (after stints with the Miami Heat<\/a> and Cleveland Cavaliers).<\/p>\n

The Lakers have had an incredible season that had a lot of momentum after the All-Star break.<\/p>\n

They are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 50-28 record in 78 games.<\/p>\n

That said, the Lakers have been hit with injuries to players such as Luka Doncic<\/a>, Austin Reaves<\/a> and Marcus Smart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following the Mavs, they will play their next game on Tuesday night (at home) against the OKC Thunder<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mavs After Lakers Loss\"\"<\/p>\n

With their victory over the Lakers, the Mavs improved to 25-53 in 78 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

They have won two out of their last ten games (and are 15-25 at home).<\/p>\n

After the Lakers, the Mavs will play their next game on Tuesday when they head on the road to visit Darius Garland<\/a> and the LA Clippers<\/a> in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
