It’s their first time clinching the top spot since 2006-07.

2 – For the first time in over 1,240 days, LaMelo Ball has a positive career plus minus.

3 – There are only two days in NBA history where at least nine games finished with an average margin of victory of 24+ points: Friday, April 3rd 2026 and March 29, 2026.

Cooper Flagg – Cooper Flagg’s last two games:

vs. the Magic: 51pts/6r/3a/3stl, 19-30 FG, 6-9 3pm
vs. the Lakers: 45pts/8r/9a/2stl, 14-27 FG, 15-17 FT

Not only is Flagg now the first teenager to ever score 50+ points in a game, but he joins extremely elite company. He’s the first rookie to score 45+ in consecutive games since Walt Bellamy in 196 and he’s one of only six players to score 45+ points three times as a rookie. Lastly, there are four 45+ point performances by a teenager in NBA history, Flagg makes up three of them. It’s an incredible way for him to close the season and potentially steal back the Rookie of the Year award from Kon Knueppel.

Julian Reese – The Washington Wizards may have had a down year despite a few exciting trades and moves signaling the franchise may be heading in a new direction. One bright spot though has continued to be the play of Julian Reese, younger brother of WNBA star Angel Reese. In just eight games played, Reese has tied the record for fastest player to record 100 career rebounds. The other player who’s done that? Shaq.

The Denver Nuggets – We had maybe the game of the year on Saturday as the Spurs and Nuggets went head to head. The game was incredible and went down to the wire with Nikola Jokic (40pts/13a/8r/3blk) getting the best of Victor Wembanyama (34pts/18r/7a/5blk). This game truly had everything and more and the win reinforces why you just can’t count out the Nuggets as a title threat as long as everyone’s healthy.

Walt Frazier – Already one of the best broadcasters in the league, we were treated to an absolute masterclass from Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier during the Knicks’ blowout win vs. the Bulls over the weekend. From calling Josh Giddey an Oklahoma City sex symbol to the stunning way he opened the broadcast, it was a performance for the ages.

The LA Lakers – Well Lakers fans, we’ll always have March 2026. In just 48 hours we went from 15-2 for the month of March to learning that Austin Reaves (oblique strain) and Luka Doncic (hamstring) will both most likely miss the first round of the playoffs due to injury. Then, they went out and lost to a Mavericks team that is actively trying to lose despite another strong LeBron performance (30pts/15a/9r). Life moves fast in the NBA, I guess we just need to stop and appreciate it while we can sometimes.

Stephen A. Smith – I promise I’m getting tired of writing about Stephen A. but he just keeps doing such dumb stuff and then pretending there’s no record of anything and he can just gaslight millions into believing him.

Case in point: after Luka Doncic injured his hamstring vs. the Thunder, Stephen A. went on TV to say it was actually a good thing he was legitimately hurt because everyone thinks he just fakes injuries when he’s not playing well.

“It was almost so that it’s a good thing that Luka actually got hurt and had to get taken out in the 3rd quarter because when we saw him holding his hamstring in the first half a lot of was like, wait a minute now that wasn’t happening when you were dropping 30+ the last 15 games. But suddenly now your damn hamstring is hurt.” – Stephen A. Smith

Here’s the clip if you want to hear it for yourself as well.

Well, two days later with Luka declared out indefinitely, Stephen A. Backtrack hopped back on Twitter.

I’m going to be so happy when this type of clickbait coverage of the league has run it’s course because it’s actively ruining the experience of watching and enjoying games.

Yahoo’s Tim Haberstroh has a new article highlighting just how lackluster some of the national TV games have been this season when it comes to stars missing.

According to a new study, 33% of national TV games this year have had full availability from the stars on both competing teams.

–
