\n\tNike<\/a>\u2019s revival of 2010s Foamposite styles<\/a> likely won\u2019t be a short-lived one. A familiar look is said to be set for a 2027 launch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t2013\u2019s Nike<\/a> Air Foamposite<\/a> One \u201cPhoenix Suns\u201d will receive its first-ever reissue in 2027, according to new information shared by @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files. While the Electro Purple\/Total Orange\/Black colorway isn\u2019t an official collaboration with the NBA team, its distinct color choices were enough to tell the story despite the absence of any licensed branding. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe shoe features a glossy purple Foamposite<\/a> shell which features the model\u2019s traditional black eyestay, tongue and heel. But it\u2019s the orange accents that really tie the theme together, appearing on the branding, striped tongue and pull tabs.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe inspiration behind this unofficial Suns colorway lies in Penny Hardaway\u2019s stint playing with the Phoenix team from 1999 to 2004. Years prior, as a member of the Orlando Magic, the Air Foamposite<\/a> One was Hardaway\u2019s signature shoe in its original royal blue colorway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd while he didn\u2019t wear the Foamposite while suiting up for the Suns, the \u201913 release offers a glimpse at what could have been. Over the years, Nike has also issued Foamposites in the colors of the New York Knicks, another team Hardaway played for after Orlando. This concept has trickled over into Hardaway\u2019s other Nike signature shoes, too, including Knicks-themed Air Max Penny 1s, Miami Heat-colored Air Penny 2s and even the post-retirement Air Penny 5.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile this era of Foamposites had a surplus of unlicensed looks in team colors, Nike will reportedly be taking a more official approach later this year with the launch of an Air Foamposite Pro pack tied to NCAA football teams<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Nike Air Foamposite One<\/a> Phoenix Suns will return during spring \u201927 for an expected retail price of $240 under style code IQ0159-500. Readers can expect availability from Nike\u2019s Snkrs app and select Nike Sportswear retailers.
