Doc Rivers\u2019 days as the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> may be numbered. That doesn\u2019t necessarily mean that he\u2019ll be fired however.<\/p>\n

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, there\u2019s “an anticipation that Bucks coach Doc Rivers and the franchise could be heading for some sort of parting or job restructuring after such a trying 2025-26 campaign.”<\/p>\n

Taylor Jenkins named ‘prime candidate’ to replace Doc Rivers in Milwaukee<\/p>\n

Stein suggest that the Bucks could look to shift Rivers into a front office role while replacing him on the sideline in Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

And when it comes to replacing Rivers, the Bucks apparently already have a candidate in mind. Per Stein, former Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> head coach Taylor Jenkins has emerged as a “prime candidate” to be Rivers’ successor.<\/p>\n

Jenkins has history with the Bucks as he served as an assistant with the team under head coach Mike\u00a0Budenholzer during the 2018-19 NBA season before he went on to become the coach of the Grizzlies for six seasons.<\/p>\n
