After playing hard for 48 minutes on the hardwood,\u00a0Dennis Rodman<\/a>\u00a0would hit The Windy City’s club scene to party harder during his time with the Chicago Bulls. Rodman’s magnetism during that stretch was so potent that it transcended the typical boundaries of celebrity worship.<\/p>\n

According to The Worm’s own flamboyant accounts, his bad boy charisma was irresistible at the time, which bordered\u00a0on\u00a0absurdity. As Rodman described it, his popularity made him an ultimate ladies’ man, the kind of guy all kinds of women would dig.<\/p>\n

Rodman boldly claimed that even married women would seek out his company at night. What’s even crazier about it is that Dennis never once got in trouble with their husbands.<\/p>\n

“I’d go to some bar or something like that, and I’d see some of the guys’ wives at the bars. And then I’d start talking to those girls,”\u00a0Rodman\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0The Athletic in 2018.\u00a0“Next thing you know, after some games, most of the wives would come out with me all the time until three or four in the morning. Like, ‘We know where you’re at, you’re with Dennis Rodman, huh?’ But it was such a great, great three years here.”<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Bulls<\/a>\u00a0knew well what they were getting into when they traded for Rodman in 1995. “I think the people of Chicago loved the way I did it,”\u00a0Rodman reflected.\u00a0“I partied my a\u2014 off. I was the rockstar by myself. I went out almost every night. I mean, I had a blast in Chicago. I don’t know how I did it. But I did it. When I came to Chicago, the first two years, I really didn’t talk to the players. I really didn’t talk to nobody on the team. Outside of basketball, we never talked. I did my own thing because I was going out a lot.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Fifty percent of life in the NBA is sex,”\u00a0Rodman once\u00a0said<\/a>.\u00a0“The other fifty percent is money.”<\/p>\n

“I would never keep track of the number of women I’ve been with,”\u00a0added Rodman.\u00a0“I can’t lie like Wilt Chamberlain. There’s no scoreboard in my bedroom.”<\/p>\n

All told, the Worm’s tenure with the Bulls was a masterclass in functional chaos. His ability to understand the team’s shared goal and make a significant contribution to it while maintaining a rockstar persona remains a puzzle.<\/p>\n
