Is this really the end of the <\/a>Ja Morant<\/a> era of the Memphis Grizzlies? Over the course of the last few years, the relationship between the star point guard and his team has steadily deteriorated. It\u2019s so bad that many thought that Morant was going to be traded during the 2026 NBA trade deadline.<\/p>\n

While Morant was not dealt at the trade deadline, there\u2019s still the growing feeling amongst fans that Morant will be traded once the offseason hits. The Grizzlies\u2019 point guard continues to fuel this rumor, too. After the Grizzlies\u2019 final home game of the season, Morant reposted a post he made back in 2019<\/a>. The post says, \u201cGod I know you got me!\u201d with no hashtags.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a cryptic post, another puzzle piece that fans are thinking about how it fits in with the rest of the clues. Morant has outwardly mentioned that he doesn\u2019t want to be traded, but there are also conflicting reports about the star\u2019s happiness. When asked about it a month ago, Morant said that he\u2019s happy with the team,<\/a> saying, \u201cWhy can\u2019t I be [happy]? I\u2019ve been happy this whole time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morant has been out for most of the season due to a variety of injuries. The latest ailment plaguing the Grizzlies point guard is an elbow sprain he suffered back in January. That injury did not heal as fast as he wanted, and he was officially shut down last week as he recovers from his injury. Morant will finish the 2025-26 season playing in just 20 games, a trend that has unfortunately been going on for the point guard over the last few years.<\/p>\n

The Grizzlies will finish the 2025-26 season with a 25-54 record. It\u2019s a hard fall from grace for a team that was, at one point, considered as a rising force in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n
